Post by CM
It’s New Year’s Eve and time to reflect. What better way than to share with you our favourite posts of 2015 as we get ready for bigger and better things in the New Year!
January
2015 was the year when ‘old’ got cool. Charlotte Rampling fronted a NARS Campaign (and starred in possible Oscar contender 45 years) and Joan Didion got her chic on for Celine. This was our post on Magical Thinking.
February
We began our Capsule Confidential series this year, and TM hailed the Humble Cardigan as a staple to get your hands on. From Spring to Winter this piece will solve any style dilemmas! View that post here.
March
Our most viewed post of the year came from March, and was clicked on ever more increasingly for the rest of the year. This was one for the boys, proving that Irish men have an eye for style and men all around the world want to know about it! Read all about Conor McGregor’s style here.
April
We were invited to a great, sunny (if you can believe it) day out at the races this Easter, and had a superb time sipping champagne, having a flutter and oggling over the surprisingly diverse fashion choices. The full post can be viewed here.
May
May brought CM to the First Birthday celebration of Into the West Bloggers Network, created by dynamic duo Sinead and Saibh. It was a super event, with pop up shops, guest speakers and goody bags galore. Here’s to another great year in the life of ITWBN!
June
We examined why it was time to throw away those nude pumps and replace them with something a tad edgier – silver was, and still is, the new neutral! Read all about it here.
July
While silver had its place in your wardrobe, we found it wasn’t too in our hair! We declared that 2015 was the year of the bronde, and as one of our most viewed posts of the year it’s safe to say you agreed with us. More here!
August
In August we were shown a whole new way to adorn ourselves – with face jewellery. No, not the orthodontics with colourdy braces of old, rather pieces inspired by different cultures and a whimsical imagination. Will you be considering face ornamentation in 2016?
September
Not a fan of silver accents? Then leopard print was the feisty alternative! Team it with black, with print, with whatever you want, in 2015 we made the leopard leap!
October
Barbie became an unlikely fashion icon in October, thanks largely to the now sadly defunct Instagram account Hipster Barbie, makeup supremo Pat McGrath’s collaboration with the Barbie brand and Moschino’s kitsch collection in her honour. But is Barbie a fashion icon too far? Here was our take.
November
Every lady who loves nothing more than to shun colour and print was in for a treat with our post on how to add new zest into your black hued wardrobe. Gravedigger chic was all the rage in November!
December
It’s been a long season of parties, which may have taken its toll. This post from December will have you looking spick and span on New Year’s Day, read it here if you’re planning on seeing out the year in style!
Bye bye 2015, you did us proud. Now we welcome 2016 and look forward to all it has to bring.
Happy New Year!
