What’s better than kicking of the weekend than stuffing your face with bickies and delicious, delicious tea? Stuffing your face with guilt-free bickies in aid of a cause, that’s what!
The folks at Western Alzheimer’s are encouraging tea days this weekend, to raise vitaly needed funds for their society, so off I popped to The Abbey in Tuam, Co. Galway to do my bit, and eat them out of house and home in the process.
Luckily I wore my favourite lemon sweater, teamed with monochrome cropped trousers with a bit of stretch in them. My heels helpfully contributed to evening myself out after demolishing a whole plate of biscuits, all by my very self. Of course I brought my umbrella along, because this is Ireland, and so also my sunglasses and a light trench coat. For all you curious voyeurs I’m pictured below, looking a bit full but very pleased with myself for contributing to such a worthy charity. Pledging only €10 will go a long way!
If you missed out on this occasion never fear! The official day is May 9th and the society are desperate for volunteers to host a tea/coffee day, so here’s the link to their website if you’d like to help them out.
